Photos: George W. Bush waves to the crowd in New Orleans

New Orleans (Sept. 15, 2005) - U.S. President George W. Bush waves to a waiting crowd of Sailors, soldiers and relief organization personnel after returning to the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) following a live address to the nation from New Orleans. Iwo Jima is currently pier side on the Mississippi River, assisting in Joint Task Force Katrina hurricane relief efforts. The NavyÕs involvement in the humanitarian assistance operations are an effort led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
